Billing policy

For new patient appointments at our orthopedic practice, we recommend the following to ensure a smooth and efficient visit:

• Arrive 10 minutes early: This extra time is helpful for completing any required paperwork and ensuring that your appointment starts on time. Early arrival helps streamline the check-in process and reduces delays, contributing to a more efficient clinic flow and better patient experience.

• Bring an updated medication list: Having a current list of medications helps the physician understand your medical history and any potential interactions or contraindications with proposed treatments.

• Bring outside imaging (disc and report): If you have had imaging studies done elsewhere, bringing the disc and report allows the physician to review these results, which can be critical for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

• In-office X-ray: Expect to undergo radiographic imaging as part of your evaluation. Radiographs are commonly used to assess musculoskeletal conditions and provide an overview of the anatomic area of interest. This helps exclude fractures and tumors as causes of swelling or pain and aids in the interpretation of future imaging studies.

• Wear loose-fitting clothing: This allows for a thorough physical examination, which is crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Loose clothing facilitates easy access to the affected areas, enabling the physician to perform necessary maneuvers and assessments without restriction.

• Examination by physicians or nurse practitioners: You will be examined by a physician or nurse practitioner who will take a detailed history and perform a physical examination. This thorough evaluation is essential for establishing a differential diagnosis and planning appropriate treatment.

These recommendations are designed to enhance patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency, ensuring that each visit is as productive and comfortable as possible.
