Alyssa Ruwe FNP-BC, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2011. In 2016, she received her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Maryville University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Alyssa’s previous nursing experience includes acute medical and surgical care at both Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her career with The Center for Advanced Orthopedics in 2017.

Alyssa has furthered her knowledge of the orthopedic specialty by training under both Dr. Grebing and Dr. Bicalho. She has also completed several musculoskeletal intensive courses, sponsored by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. At CAO, Alyssa focuses on acute injury evaluations and treatment, general orthopedics, joint injections and fracture care. Additionally, Alyssa provides pre and postoperative counseling and hospital coordination to ensure a cohesive and supportive surgical experience for both Dr. Grebing and Dr. Bicalho’s patients. Alyssa believes in the importance of a focus on patient education and understanding of diagnosed conditions and preventative orthopedic healthcare. Alyssa looks forward to providing quality orthopedic healthcare for the patients of our community with the goal of returning them to the activities and lifestyle they enjoy.
